Fantasy Art and Tarot Readings
Using an electronic drawing tablet, a digital painting application, and her own imagination, Alison Spokes paints with pixels to create enchanting Faerie and fantasy illustrations. Born and raised in Houston, British Columbia, Alison currently resides in Victoria, British Columbia. She is a self-taught artist who began working mainly in pencils but found her niche painting faeries in digital media.
Alison developed her fascination with faeries through her love of myth and storytelling. She incorporates a little folklore in many of her paintings, but her main objective is to inspire others to find magic in the mundane. Since completing her very first digital fairy painting in 2010, Alison has exhibited at hundreds of events all over Vancouver Island and Western Canada. She was a finalist in the 2013 International Fairy and Fantasy Art Awards, and has had her work published in the 2020 & 2022 annual collaborative Tarot decks published by the 78 Tarot Project.
In addition to her art, Alison Spokes has been a Tarot practitioner for nearly 30 years, a professional reader for 10+ years, and a Tarot instructor for 5 years. She hosts a monthly Tarot study group for readers of all skill levels to learn and exchange their knowledge. Readings with Alison are down-to-earth, insightful, and incorporate a fun storytelling element. Rather than channeling angels or ascended masters, Alison draws upon morals, lessons, and parallels from mythology, fairy tales, and popular culture to reflect where you are on your current journey. Her goal is to inspire you to take action and discover your own superpowers that will enable you to become the hero of your own story.
