Life Off the Grid - My Story

Hello. You are not here by accident. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born/raised in Victoria BC, Canada. Suviving a difficult childhood I was drawn to metaphysics when I was going through hypno-therapy. That was over 30 years ago. It was a wonderful discovery that what I *felt*, *heard*, *saw*, *knew* was NOT my imagination but in fact a powerful ability to see/hear/commune with other dimensions. You see, I died when I was 5. As I rose out of my body, so happy to be free of 3D physical constraints, I was stopped by what I call the "Council of Seven", my guiding Angels. These angels stopped me from rejoining with Source and told me that I "had to go back". Needless to say I did not want to. The angels then let me know that I had agreed to this physical incarnation and that I had much work to do this lifetime. Still reluctant to go back, I knew what they said was true, and agreed to do so.
Much of my childhood was extremely difficult but I always knew that I had friends "on the other side". In times of angst or those wonderful moments when I was alone and it was quiet, the angels always let me know they were there.
When I was in my early 20's I started to have flashbacks and nightmares. Nervous that I was going off the deep end I sought out therapy and found a wonderful hypno-therapist. I easily fell into hypnosis and when my therapist told me to "go back in time" I did! All the way back to Pompeii! This would happen time and time again, with my "going back" to different lifetimes. Eventually my therapist had to instruct me to stay in this lifetime and only access memories from it.
Fascinated with the process of hypnosis I asked my therapist how I could do this on my own. She gave me some simple instructions and that was when my 30 year practice of daily meditation began. At this time, I also discovered Louise Hay and her book "You Can Heal Your Life" and soon a floodgate of teachers showed up in my life. My daily meditation strengthened my connection/communion with angels and it wasn't long before I could telepathically communicate with animals, trees, all of nature and also those from other realms and dimensions, including the Pleidians.
In 2009 I met my now husband and he told me of his retirement dream. To live off the grid ... On a remote island ... On a mountain. Although born in Victoria I had never heard of Lasqueti Island. Telling him I could not judge what I did not know I agreed to go with him to look at a piece of property he wanted to buy. It was March and stormy and the only way to get to Lasqueti is on a small, passenger-only ferry that goes from French Creek on Vancouver Island across the Geogia Straight. Although only 10 miles as the crow flies, this stretch of water is known to be quite treacherous and when the wind is blowing 45 knots the waves can reach 10 to 15 feet high. And wouldn't you know, on the day we "went across" we were met with just such a ride.

My husband and I grabbed our packs and our little dog Angellina and jumped into our friend's truck to begin the 1/2 hour drive along the gravel, pothole-filled, Main Road. Next we stopped at the bottom of the mountain where the land we were interested in was located, to put the truck in 4 x 4 and then climb to the beginning of a new life.

Mt. Cook, where our property sits, is situated almost dead center of Lasqueti Island. At the top there is a 360 degree view where you can see the Sabine Channel on one side of Lasqueti and the Georgia Straight on the other side. The view is spectacular but it wasn't until we started to "walk the line" that I saw it.
Mt. Trematon. The mountain that is directly across from us. I stopped dead in my tracks. I was awestruck. The power that emanated from this mountain almost knocked me over. I turned to my husband and said "You HAVE to buy this piece of property. Today! This mountain has been my teacher & guide since that day.
That was 11 years ago. It's been a heck of a journey. We cleared the land by hand, built our cabin ourselves, set up our solar power and water collection/storage. Living off the grid has it's challenges but the rewards far surpass the hardships.
